Forklifts are commonly used in warehouses

Common types of warehouse forklifts include:
All-electric pallet truck

The carrying capacity is 1.6-3 tons, the general working channel width is 2.3-2.8 meters, and the common fork lifting height is 210mm. The electric pallet truck series is mainly used for horizontal loading and unloading of goods and goods in warehouses. There are three types of controls: walking, standing and sitting, which can be selected according to the effect.

Reach truck

Reach trucks can be divided into fully electric and semi-electric. The carrying capacity is 1-2.5 tons, and the general working width is 2.3-2.8 meters. It has more masts than electric forklifts in terms of structure. The maximum lifting height of the fork is less than 4.8 meters. It is mainly used for warehouse loading and unloading goods.

The reach truck has a carrying capacity of 1-2 tons and the mast can be moved forward and fully retracted. When retracted, half working width is 2.5-3.2 meters and lifting height can be up to 11 meters. Usually used for loading and unloading goods at medium height in warehouses.

Three-way stacker (narrow aisle forklift)

Usually equipped with a three-way stacker, the forklift does not need to be turned, the fork can be rotated to realize two-way loading and unloading, divided into low-height three-way stacker.

The low-level three-way drive forklift has a working width of 1.5 to 2.0 meters, a lifting height of up to 12 meters, and a load capacity of about 1 ton. The cab of the forklift is not always raised above the ground, due to operational visibility limitations, it is mainly used to lift heights below 6 meters.

The high position three-way stacker is similar to the low-position three-way stacker, it is also equipped with a three-way stacker with a working width of 1.5 to 2.0 meters and a lifting height of up to 14, 5 meters. The working width is 1.5-2.0 meters and the lifting height can reach 14.5 meters. The carrying capacity is generally about 1 ton. The cab can be raised and the driver can clearly see the cargo at any height and also perform the picking operations.

Side Forklift (narrow aisle forklift)

The carrying capacity is generally 2.5 tons and the maximum lifting height is 6 meters, which is convenient for handling strip and long size goods, such as long pipes, timber, aluminum profiles, etc. During the operation, the goods have long dimensions parallel to the trunk, in the process of going in and out of the warehouse, the trunk enters the aisle and the fork is opposite to the shelf, when loading and unloading operations do not need to turn first and then working There is therefore no limitation by aisle widths, making Side Forklifts suitable for narrow aisle operations.

Four-way forklift (narrow aisle forklift)

The 4-way electric forklift integrates the functions of a forward stroke forklift, auxiliary forklift, and counterbalance forklift. It’s basically the same as a front-stroke forklift, the post is between the front and rear wheels. There are two arm-shaped legs extending in front of the car, in front of the legs are equipped with support wheels. Goods can be moved along the mast truck vertically moving back and forth. When the forklift unloads, the longer it stretches, and after unloading, the fork returns to the middle position close to the body, so the driving stability of the forklift is greatly improved.

When turning the front wheel, it is possible to change the steering direction without turning the body. This type is often used for long materials, small cargo, increased cargo area, often used for a long time, steel, wood, aluminum, etc. The maximum carrying capacity is 2.5 tons and the maximum lifting height is generally 6 meters.

The difference with the forward stroke forklift is that the two load-bearing wheels at the front end of the fork leg of the 4-way electric forklift can rotate 90° through the steering mechanism. When the two rear wheels rotate 90°, the whole forklift can move from front to back to left and right. Driving is equivalent to a fork so it is suitable for handling long materials in narrower passages. Minimum working width is usually possible within 2 meters. However, due to the complex structure, the cost is relatively high.

In some working conditions (such as a supermarket distribution center), it is not necessary to transport the entire pallet. Instead, a variety of goods are selected to order to form a pallet, this association is called picking. According to the height of the goods to be picked up, electric forklifts can be divided into low range forklifts (within 2.5 meters) and medium height forklifts (up to 10 meters).

Carrying capacity is 2.0-2.5 tons (low position), 1.0-1.2 tons (medium-high position, lift by cabin).

warehouse forklift
Multi-function electric forklift

Multi-function electric forklifts can move in all directions, in addition to the main features of counterbalance forklifts are three wheels. The vehicle can drive in one direction at any angle, so the flexible steering can turn the ground and move the forklift in any direction. This model solves the problem of long material transfer in a narrow space, saves considerable space, and can realize stacking and dismantling in trains and cars.
